they most likely class changed; my friend changed his class from FB to BL also, and his blade buff was still on.
but having the buff on he could only use one blade and wasn't able to use any of the BL skills.
lots of people have done this. Foray being one of them. It will stay until they GM's fix it, or they die and forget to use odds lol.
