High defense vs Critical Rate ?

Has anyone observed this. If you have a high defense, for some reason I get less crits. Is there a relationship between the two ? By high defense I mean players hitting 1200+ defense. I have tried this against a few players with high defense and even converged my rate to 54% just to see how it would play out. In all I did over 200 pvps. The general would be 4 fillers, SS and SB. I crit less than 50%. I checked some EU forums and they say about the same thing. Anyone with any idea ?

it must be psychological. defense will not affect how many times u crit itll only affect how much dmg u get crit for. ive fought every single high def player on merc and i have never noticed critting less just cause they got the def

I agree, I doubt it has any affect on how much you crit. Your reasoning probably is based on placebo. You just had a bad 200 pvps. If that was how many pvps your test group was.




tl;dr: 50% is 50% rate.

I have noticed it myself but I would consider it a superstition, a coincidence at most.

I noticed this a while back. I have a much harder time critting on high defense characters such as end game shielders and warriors than squishy wizards and FAs. Hell when pvping average wizards I might as well just use assassinate and infernal because they're probably going to crit anyway.

force bladers arent good? hmmm.... with the stats ive seen even when you were proven to be in aura i still wasnt very impressed...

didnt u have like....under 1k attack? under 50% amp? under 150% cd? this force blader is above all of those.

I have this same problem but with BM1, my rate is at 52% and I crit like once every 6 hits, but without BM1 I crit 4 out of the six lol.

Regardless of the blader, or even class, I'd still have the same skill bar. It's my style. I don't really have evidence to support their difference, except BC/DR, and my word.
Also, Lethal got to KoD. Kyusoku was only Knight.

Edit: Let me remind you that Wipwns created characters with LethalHeart names in Mercury+Venus, the same day I deleted my characters and posted the SS. If you name change, it takes a day to register that the past name is not in use anymore.

lol back on topic, obviously its easy to say that defense shouldnt make any difference on crit rate, theres no reason it should. But I have experienced the same thing muhammed. there are like 3 or 4 ppl with high defense who for some reason I hardly crit. dunno why
