registration wont accept the period in my e-mail address.

when i try to register with my email address ([email protected]), the page wont accept it because of the period. if i type rancid, its ok. but as soon as i hit the . it says "please type your email" and wont let me finish registering. is there a way around this or am i screwed?

i guess you have to decide which takes less time...making a new e-mail, or waiting for somebody to answer this question (which most likely will lead to making a new e-mail anyways)
