I read that this merc is account binding.

So is it like a pet which all your chars in the account can equip,
or
does it work like the normal merc where once activated, it stays with a particular character, which the other chars cannot use anymore?

It works like the others mercenaries.

The mercenay card is account biding, but when you active it, stays with a particular character, the others cant use... You need to buy another one if you want to use it in another character.
