need COMPUTER HELP, please >_<

My other comp is a giant piece of feces, so i wanted to use dban and wipe it and then install w7 on it... but one problem..
whenenver i put in the bootdisk and start it up, the machine doesn't prompt me with the "press any key to continue" or w/e at the startup. instead, it just stays blank and goes on to the desktop. i went into the bios and set it correctly, but i don't know why it's not asking me to press any key..

anyone have a solution? Q_Q

You dont understand do you.. the other comp is totally raped. so many bugs.. you has no idea. if it was decent enough to sell, i wouldn't be wasting time trying to format it and install a new os on it.

i can get into the comp, but its hell. it doesnt even HAVE internet anymore. it no logner has the ability to paste files. windows that you have pulled up don't show at the bottom. many things wont start. you cant drag files.

as you can see, lots of bugs :S this is why im trying to just format it and reinstall the OS
