of course theres lots of room for variation; i dont use cascade at all because i prefer to remove one AOE attack for more fillers/sword cannon.

the reason i use heavy slash is that I find the knock back element to be useful sometimes, it is the only warrior skill with that attribute. so i choose it over other fillers with insignificant damage changes.
